Course Overview

This beginner-friendly floristry course introduces participants to the fundamentals of floral design using seasonal autumn flowers, foliage, berries, and natural materials. Each session combines practical skills with creativity, allowing students to take home a completed arrangement every week.

This course also accommodates those who may already have some skills but want to continue to practise and learn new techniques.

Please note – a range of flowers and other items will have to be purchased to attend this course, a list will be provided weekly.

This course will be held at St John’s Centre, St John’s Rd, Old Trafford, Stretford, Manchester M16 7GX

What you will Learn

Throughout this creative floristry course, you will develop practical floral design skills while exploring a variety of seasonal autumn flowers, foliage, berries, and natural materials. You will learn how to create a range of attractive floral arrangements, understand the principles of colour, texture, and design, and gain confidence in selecting and conditioning flowers. Each week, you will practise new techniques, enhance your creativity, and produce a unique arrangement to take home. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to build on existing skills, the course offers the opportunity to refine your floristry techniques and experiment with different styles and seasonal designs.

Assessment

This is an essentially practical course with no formal assessment. Students will receive constructive verbal feedback and will be encouraged to keep a photographic record of their work.

Career Options
