Stay near, go far
Studying for a degree on your doorstep is not only convenient, it means you can live at home and reduce your living expenses, without the stress of moving away to continue your education. Our campus is suitably located near frequent public transport connections, ensuring that the facilities accessible and available to a wide range of local areas.
Greater Flexibility
Our University Centre offers not only degrees but a wide variety of Higher Education qualifications that act as a stepping stone to a full degree, such as HNCs, HNDs, HTQs and foundation degrees, all of which can be ‘topped up’ to a degree at a later date, giving you the flexibility to complete your Higher Education in stages.
Affordable Education
Our tuition fees are lower than most UK universities’ fees and represent great value for money. You may also be eligible for extra financial support through bursaries and other funds, such as Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSAs). Visit our Funding & Finance page now for more information.

Extremely supportive
Many people can find the full university experience a bit daunting. Our small and friendly class sizes allow for more personalised support, as well as one-on-one guidance and dedicated time with your lecturers and tutors. This focus gives you the best chance of achieving your potential, as it creates opportunities to collaborate with other students and a more productive learning environment.
Working while learning
Staying at home to study a university degree means that you may be able to learn while working full-time, or hold down a regular part-time job. This work-life balance can be difficult for a student based on a university campus who lives at home outside of term time and is more achievable while studying at a local campus.
Employer Focused
Our Stockport Campus University Centre is an integral part of the local community, and we tailor our degree programmes to the demands of the local economy, providing you with specific workplace skills for the local job market. Our strong industry links mean our courses focus on the skills employers value, giving you a competitive edge—whether you’re aiming for a promotion, career change, or university progression.
