Course Overview

The aims of this course are to introduce floristry with the specific focus to displays that can be used over the spring period.

Please note – a range of flowers and other items will have to be purchased to attend this course, a list will be provided weekly.

What you will Learn

– To encourage safe and efficient working practices
– Topics will include:
– Care and conditioning of flowers
– Principles and elements of design
– Constructing a range of designs in floral foam
– Basic techniques for wiring and taping flowers and foliage
– Designing different styles of arrangements (provided weekly)

Assessment

This is a practical course with no formal assessment. Students will receive constructive verbal feedback and will be encouraged to keep a photographic record of their work.
