Trafford and Stockport College Group is proud to announce that 53 of its talented students have been selected as regional finalists for the prestigious WorldSkills UK competition.

WorldSkills Uk is a national showcase of excellence that shines a spotlight on the next generation of skilled professionals.

Spanning a wide range of industries and disciplines, this year’s finalists represent the incredible breadth of talent across the Group. Students have been recognised in areas including:

· IT Support Technician – 1

· Food Service – 3

· Culinary Arts – 3

· Cyber Security – 9

· Media Makeup – 4

· Beauty Therapy -2

· Beauty Therapy Practitioner – 5

· Joinery – 7

· Foundation: Enterprise – 3

· Electrical – 4

· Health & Social Care – 1

· Plumbing – 1

The WorldSkills competition provides students with the opportunity to push their technical skills to industry-standard levels while gaining invaluable experience in time management, problem solving, and working under pressure.

The regional heats will take place over the coming weeks, with the top eight scorers from each category progressing to the national finals later in the year.
