For National Apprenticeship Week 2022, we’re showcasing some of our apprentices to celebrate their achievements and future career prospects that have been influenced by studying an apprenticeship. We spoke to apprentice Charlotte Stoddard about her experience:
What have you gained and learned from your apprenticeship?
I have actually completed three apprenticeships now, and i have learned a considerable amount. Apprenticeships have really allowed me to gain a lot, from knowledge, confidence and networking.
Why did you choose to study an apprenticeship?
During my time at college I realised that exams weren’t for me. I was struggling with my exam subjects but was doing really well in my practical subject which was photography. This made the decision for me to tdo an apprenticeship.

What’s next in the future for you?
I think the net steps for me include completing my level 7 CIPD as a masters, progressing in my career and hopefully one day setting up my own HR consultancy.
How did you balance work and study?
Sometimes balancing work and study can be difficult depending on work load etc. However I always blocked out time for my work diary to work on elements of my apprenticeship and also have time out to complete assignments.
