Whether you’re a photography enthusiast or an aspiring professional, an SLR (Single Lens Reflex) photography course can provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to capture stunning images and express your creativity through photography.

This short course will help you improve your basic technical camera skills.

Please be informed that ownership of a personal DSLR camera is a prerequisite for enrolment in this course.

Course Requirements

Participants are not required to possess any previous knowledge or expertise. We welcome individuals with a genuine enthusiasm for the subject and a willingness to actively engage and contribute.

You will need an SLR camera – which can be digital.

An example of a camera which would be good for the course is a Canon 1300D

What you will Learn

This course is aimed at beginners who are new to owning a digital SLR camera. You will be instructed on how to navigate all the functions that your camera has to offer.

You will need to spend a lot of time between classes taking photographs.

Assessment

There is no formal assessment. Students will receive helpful feedback throughout the course.

Progression

Upon successful completion of the course students can progress onto the Intermediate SLR Photography course.
