Course Overview
This course is designed to develop your understanding of key responsibilities in protecting children, young people, and vulnerable adults. It covers three essential areas:
Understanding the Prevent Duty - Learn how to identify and respond to signs of radicalisation and extremism, and understand your role in preventing them.
Understanding Safeguarding - Gain knowledge of safeguarding principles, policies, and procedures to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of those in your care.
Understanding Online Safety - Explore the risks associated with digital environments and how to promote safe online behaviour.
By the end of the course, you will have a clear understanding of how to uphold a duty of care in any setting where safeguarding is a priority.
Course Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. It is open to anyone with an interest in understanding safeguarding and the Prevent Duty.
What you will Learn
This course aims to increase the students knowledge and awareness of the Prevent Duty, safeguarding, and online safety. Upon completion, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding in environments where they have a duty of care.
Assessment
You will complete online assessments and receive ongoing support from an assessor, all delivered through a flexible online learning platform.
Progression
After completing this course, you can progress to further Level 2 online courses offered at TSCG, expanding your knowledge and skills.
Career Options
This course supports progression into roles within Early Years and Education settings.
