Course Overview
The course consists of a Diploma in Plumbing Studies at Level 3. The course is both internally and externally assessed and is made up of a series of practical and written tasks. This will make up the underpinning knowledge for the trainee plumber. Obtaining this qualification allows anyone entering the plumbing profession who is not currently employed in a plumbing capacity to seek employment within the sector.
Learning is through classroom based and practical workshop activities. A variety of teaching and learning strategies are employed.
In conjunction with an NVQ level 2/3
Course Requirements
4 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (including maths and/or English Language) completiong of Level 2 Plumbing

Learners must be dedicated and committed to the requirements of the course and Trafford College with a high level of attendance and punctuality supported by continuous home study.
Assessment
The college staff will administer and monitor practical and written assessments covering the range of units and competence.
