Course Overview

Course Requirements

5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (including English Language, Maths and IT).

What you will Learn

You will learn how to collect, organise, analyse, and interpret data to support business objectives while gaining hands-on experience with the tools and techniques used by professional data analysts. Throughout the course, you will explore topics including data management, data visualisation, business intelligence, digital technologies, statistics, and data-driven decision making. At Trafford & Stockport College Group, learning is highly practical and project-based; you will work with realistic datasets and business scenarios, developing solutions, producing reports, and presenting insights just as data professionals do within modern organisations.

Assessment

Year 1 - The Core Component is assessed through:
- Core Examination Paper 1
- Core Examination Paper 2
- Employer Set Project (ESP), where learners apply their knowledge to a realistic business scenario.

Year 2 - The Occupational Specialism is assessed through:
- An Occupational Specialism Project (OSP), where learners source, prepare, analyse, and interpret data to address a realistic business scenario, before communicating their findings and recommendations to a specified audience.

As part of achieving the overall T Level programme, students are required to complete a minimum of 315 hours industry placement.

After completing this qualification, you will be well prepared to take your digital and analytical skills even further. Here are some exciting routes you can explore:
- Higher Apprenticeship in Data Analysis or Digital Technology Solutions
