Student Davina secures Cabin Crew role at Ryan Air

by india
Travel and Tourism student Davina Yobi has secured herself a job at Ryan Air as part of the cabin crew.

Davina, from Congo, started her education journey in the UK when she was just twelve years old. After high school, Davina went on to study English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) as her first course with Trafford College, and then progressed onto GCSE Maths and English, to Travel and Tourism with us.

We spoke to Davina about her experience and her exciting new opportunity:

I’ve always been interested in languages. I speak four now – French, Lingala, Swahili and English. I’ve always been interested in Travel too – being in the Cabin Crew is something I have wanted to do since I was little.

As part of our course, we attend taster sessions for 6 hours per week with Ryan Air. My lecturer had seen that I was really enjoying being part of the Cabin Crew and she sent me over a job application she had spotted for Ryan Air – I applied and had an interview straight away – and I got the job! I can’t wait.

My lecturer in my ESOL course said to me that if I wanted to be in Cabin Crew and put my mind to it I could do it, and look at me now!

“It is such fantastic news that Davina has been successful, she was always very motivated and determined to do well and I wish her every success in the role.” – Graham Wright, ESOL Lecturer
