Aged 19 or over
At least 2 years’ experience in a management role
Completion of a short initial assessment
Interview with a course tutor before enrolment
GCSE grade 4-9 or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English

Module 1. Managing Projects to Achieve Results

Module 2. Conducting a Management Project
Innovation doesn’t happen by accident – it starts with smart research and bold ideas.
This unit turns learners into problem solvers and change makers by giving them the tools to explore real management and leadership challenges and turn insight into action. Through purposeful research, learners unlock opportunities for innovation, performance improvement, enhanced customer experience, strategic development, and meaningful organisational change.
In this unit, you’ll take on a genuine workplace project or academic enquiry tied to a real business need or challenge. You’ll learn how to investigate, analyse, and deliver evidence based solutions that make a measurable impact on organisational practice.

By the end, you will not just understand how research drives progress – you will be creating it, shaping outcomes, and helping your organisation stay dynamic, competitive, and ready for the future.

This qualification is aimed at practising or aspiring managers and leaders who are typically accountable to a senior manager or business owner. It is aimed at leaders managing projects, although the qualification is also open to learners wishing to build on their general management skills.

Roles and responsibilities may also include but are not limited to developing teams and individuals, creating operational plans, planning and managing projects, managing change, managing finance, resources and identifying new approaches to business activities, managing quality and continuous improvement as well as managing the
